I am not so sure if my reach is that expansive. "Internationally" is such a big word. But it feels great to know that someone out there, albeit hundreds of miles away, is discovering my work.
Hello Sir Clementine,
First of all, I have a question about your song "The saddest sound". I hope that I am not being too intrusive, but I would like to know who you are refering to as your
"first friend given fragile beauty". I guess it is a pet you had but ... what sort of pet ?
And my second question is : would you consider travelling to Europe and touring there ?
Ok, that's far away from the Philippines but Paris is worth visiting ! :)
Much love from a faithful French fan, who keeps listening to TWIYO regularly and always enjoying it thoroughly :)
Hi Franny, you are absolutely right with your guess! Doro is his name, my pet cat who died in my hands due to terminal illness. The vet and I decided to put him down while I wait and listen until his last heartbeat.
Touring Europe is in my dream bucket list, so I really hope to make this happen sometime in the near future. Perhaps after I release a new album. I would love to see Paris!
Your faith in my music kindles my drive to produce more! Thank you so much!
i am just intrigued with the diversified music you had for the past few years and also me as a new wave fan and a musician, had greatly appreciated your works as well. just want to ask what are your influences?
I have a wide range of influences. From The Beatles to The Smiths, Folk to New Wave/Guitar Pop/Jangle and Indie Pop to Alternative Rock. Most of them have British origin. I seldom repeat my work and it's naturally for me to be dynamic and to try something different each time.
Glad you do! No tabs are available for this album and most of the lead guitars recorded are contributed by amazing sessionists like Kakoy Legazpi and Jonathan Ong. But I do plan to post chords on my site for each song.
Gusto ko yang ideya mo. Isa din akong tagahanga ni Joey Ayala. Sana nga.
Good day again Sir Clementine! Excited na ako makabili ng CD album ng TWIYO mo, ask ko lang sir kung meron pa bang nabibili ng the camerawalls CD album na pocket guide to the otherworld at yung bread and circuses? Honestly sir, everyday ko sinasoundtrip mga songs nyo from ONL - the camerawalls - dragonfly collector :) excited rin ako na mapanuod ka ulit ng live, first time ko nung sa pupil's album bar tour sa 19 east last April 22 kasama ate at kuya ko :) hopefully sir mapanuod rin kita sa checkpoint rock bar at X278 sa BF homes paranaque someday :) gusto ko rin sabihin trip ko mga gitara mo from squier blonde tele(tele lover ako), ibanez electro-acoustic(mostly na nakita ko sa camerawalls), epiphone electro-acoustic(yung gamit mo lagi ngayon), sainyo rin ba yung strat sa a gentle persuasion music vid? Btw, yung tele pinakanamiss ko :) -Frederick, sucat paranaque
Kumpleto sound trip mo. Thanks for following my works. I also miss my telecaster. Someday I'll use it again. The only available physical album of The Camerawalls is Bread and Circuses. Out of print na yung Pocket Guide. If you wish to order email email@example.com
Someday I plan to host a songwriting and artist development workshop. Next year perhaps. I cringe every time I encounter the word OPM and whatever it stands for. I really think the usage is obsolete and no longer applicable in the general Philippine music scene. As usual, the independent scene is thriving with quality songwriting, performance, style and sensibility that the commercial scene clearly is lacking.
I can't say much about him aside from being one of the greatest guitarist out there. I don't normally listen to Latin and African rhythms.
